Welcome to Bryce Valley Lodging
Bryce Valley Lodging stands as a modest yet inviting option for travelers exploring the natural wonders of southern Utah. Nestled in the small town of Tropic, just a short drive from Bryce Canyon National Park and Kodachrome Basin State Park, this lodging offers a quiet retreat wrapped in the charm of a scenic mountain town.
The cabins and cottages at Bryce Valley Lodging are clean and cozy, providing a straightforward comfort that many guests appreciate. While some have noted issues with noisy air conditioning units and beds that could be firmer, the overall atmosphere remains warm and welcoming. The high beds may challenge shorter guests, but the convenient parking right next to the cabins is a definite plus for those who value ease and accessibility.
One of the more unique aspects of Bryce Valley Lodging is its location—across from essential amenities like a gas station, grocery store, and local eateries. This proximity adds a layer of convenience rare to mountain lodging, making it easier for visitors to access daily necessities and casual dining without long drives.
Wi-Fi service, though available, requires some effort to access, as the key retrieval process is separate and somewhat confusing for first-time visitors. Nevertheless, the staff receives praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, answering questions with patience and warmth, which enhances the overall guest experience.
The smell of cleanliness—mentioned by several guests—is a strong underlying note, reinforcing the brand's commitment to maintaining tidy and sanitary accommodations. In colder months, the cabins provide warmth and a cozy ambiance, with stunning mountain views that enrich the stay and invite moments of reflection at sunset.
Though lacking in luxury amenities such as a pool, fitness center, or airport shuttle, Bryce Valley Lodging shines through its simplicity and connection to the surrounding landscape. It appeals particularly to families and travelers looking for a kid-friendly, smoke-free environment where nature is the main attraction.
In sum, Bryce Valley Lodging delivers a genuine, no-frills experience that complements the grandeur of its nearby parks. It's a place that values cleanliness, quiet, and community proximity, making it a solid choice for those seeking a peaceful base to explore Utah's striking red rock vistas. For return visitors, the familiarity and ease of this lodging offer a comforting sense of home away from home.

Not very well explained ,to get the key need to go across the street to a different name hotel , no WiFi on the area and no password link in the room, need to ask to the people on the front desk , room was clean for sure ! A strong smell of pinesol! The bed was comfortable, we did close the AC because it was very noisy! And a continental breakfast was included
The cabin was cute with a nice deck out front that had 2 metal chairs and a metal table. You park right next to your cabin, which is nice. The bed was okay. The problem I had with the bed was that it really is high, and for someone who is short, it is really difficult to climb up to get in bed. The mattress seemed to do in the center so that you rolled to the middle during the night. There is only one chair inside, so someone has to sit on the metal chair from outside or climb up on the bed to sit. The heater was really loud and kept going on and off all night long. If you wanted to watch TV, you had to turn off the heater, or you couldn't hear the shows without turning the volume up really loud. The bathroom was nice, and the heater worked great. We didn't eat at the continental breakfast as the options were minimal, so we just went down the street to the Stage Stop Station. The cabin does have a mini frig and a microwave. The location is great for Bryce Canyon NP, Kodachrome Basin SP, and Grand Staircase-Escalante NM. For the price, it was fine.
Bryce Valley Lodging is a very nice place to stay if you are planning a trip in the area. The cabin was perfect and very comfortable. Everything worked great and it was a very quiet location. The price of the cabin was not too expensive either. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions without any problems. Anytime we go back to the area we will stay at Bryce Valley Lodging.
This cottage was perfect for our stay. Its located in a very small town right outside of Bryce Canyon. There is a restaurant, grocery store, gas station, coffee shop & memorial for veterans all in walking distance. The cottage itself was very clean and accommodating. The beds were a little squeaky/hard and the ac unit had a wild noise coming from it but other than that our stay was great (:
We love it here ! Reading some of the bad reviews I can't imagine they are talking about the same place. True there is nobody here but our emails were precise and easy to check in. Once in the room it was already warm for us ( we are doing Feb ). Cozy beautiful and clean place; and I insist CLEAN because that s not easily found. The view of the mountains by sunset are stunning and one night the moon was gorgeous by the mountains. Maybe we are just easy going people. Maybe the other guests have simply had bad luck. But we absolutely loved it here.
